Do you really want something, but it doesn’t seem to want you?
Are you going for a new job but keep getting rejected? Or maybe you like someone and want to pursue a romantic relationship, but they aren’t reciprocating. When what we want doesn’t want us, we can feel rejected and frustrated. It can be hard not to take it personally, especially when we want it really bad. When this happens we often feel off track, like we are behind in life. But I have a secret process I put into place when things are flowing and I keep getting rejection. Whether I am pitching a new book idea or opening up to romantic love, these three steps are my go-to for getting over rejection smooth and fast.
Plus, today’s message was filmed in Budapest, Hungary, so enjoy the awesome view.
1. Rejection Is Protection
When you are rejected, often you are being protected from something you don’t know about. Maybe you applied for a job and didn’t get it or that amazing first date hasn’t called you back. Instead of taking the rejection personally, repeat the mantra, “Rejection is protection.” This means that you are actually being protected from things, people, and situations that don’t align with your highest good. Imagine the Universe supporting and protecting you to remain open for something better.
2. Trust Divine Timing
It is so important to allow yourself to be in the process of your life. If something you want isn’t flowing or manifesting quickly, it is because it isn’t the right time for you to have it. Instead of focusing so much on how what you want isn’t here, turn your attention to trust. Know that your higher power, the universe, is supporting you with a bigger picture. Let yourself be more present in your life by repeating the mantra, “All is in right order. I trust the timing of everything in my life.”
3. Something Better Is on Its Way to You
The best way to truly empower yourself is to let the situation go and focus fully on the future. Turn your attention to something better coming to you and start to focus all your energy into creating something even more wonderful for you. We often get fixated on what we want, thinking that specific thing is what we need to be happy, but when you can realign your energy to the essence of what you want, you will be able to get what you really need.
I’d love to hear from you in the comments what steps you’ve taken to move on get over rejection.
I absolutely LOVE this!
I recently discoved that when life events don’t match my expectations, I get frustrated. I see this pattern in big and small things like: I should have gotten over this cold by now, or I expected to be praised for all the extra time and effort I put in to make a work project succed. I am learning to recognize this frustration and change my expectations, or better yet release them.
I love your messages Shannon!
