You may not know this about me, but besides writing, coaching, speaking, and being a retreat leader, I also have another fabulous job. When I left advertising to follow my heart and be writer I also started teaching. I teach part-time at the Portland Art Institute for college-level marketing, design, and writing classes. Even when I travel I am able to teach online classes, so it’s a super-rewarding part of my life.
Well, today I have a whole group of students graduating college. These superstars have been with me every term for the past three years. It’s an honor to see them complete this chapter and launch out into their next dream, working in the “real” world, and getting their dream job.
That’s what I want to talk about today: launching, and living, your dreams.
What’s so amazing about most college students entering into the world is their insane passion and audacious spirit. They are eager, ready, full of anticipation and wonder.
Many of us lose this sense of enthusiasm. For all kinds of reasons, really, things often don’t turn out the way we hoped and expectations go array, but the truth is, we don’t have to lose this dedication to our dreams.
When was the last time you felt full of life, joy, eager excitement, and wonder? I make it an intention to live my life this way, and we all can. No matter what our age, we don’t have to let the demands of life pull us down.
If you are wondering how to get that excitement back into your life, you will absolutely love today’s new video filmed in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest.
I’m also trying some cool new editing techniques on my videos, so I would love to hear your thoughts about the new style. Leave your comments and let me know what you think.
