Ah, the new year! It is fresh, exciting, and full of possibilities. In numerology, this year, 2017, is a one year, which is all about new beginnings and creating from a clean slate. Now is the time to ask yourself, “What do I really want for myself, for my life, for those I care about?” Prioritize your dreams and happiness. Because what you do this year will set you up for the next phase of your life and years to come.
I spent most of 2016 working from other countries on a major inward journey and dedication to self. What I learned was that we owe it to ourselves to live our dreams, because fulfillment is possible, but we must have the courage to go after what we want.
But here is the thing: Not everyone wants what you want. When we go after our dreams we often think other people need to come along with us, but the reality is, you have your own internal compass of joy, and what brings you joy is essential to your happiness. When you are happy others are, too, so make this the year you stop sacrificing your desires in hopes of making others around you happy. This year focus on you.
