Over the past few weeks, mass groups of people have taken a stand against police brutality and systemic racism in the United States. These actions are meant to create lasting change that spans far beyond this moment in history.
You may feel angry, frustrated, or helpless during this time, but remember, there are a number of ways to support the cause but stay in your integrity and truth. Change has to happen (it’s happening all around us) but lasting transformation must first start in our own heart.
This revolution isn’t just black and white, it’s about good and evil, injustice vs. justice, right vs. wrong, fear vs. love, ego vs. spirit. I will always stand in unity and love with all brothers and sisters. This movement isn’t about “look at me,” it is about the collective us, and “how can I show up and support you”…in tangible ways, not superficial gestures that will soon be forgotten. I will always stand by and support BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), and everyone unifying in anti-racism. I am committed to continuing to use my platform to honor and share messages of love, unity, and truth.
Our black brothers and sisters need us. We stand together and unite as one family, the human race, but this can only happen when we too stand in our truth. Love and compassion are needed now more than ever on earth.
If we can release the need for this revolution to look any one way and instead live and act from our heart, and trust each person is doing their part, then we are all evolving together and creating peace, justice, and harmony, as one family, united in love.
Having expectations around what others should and shouldn’t be doing is only separating us more. This includes expectations on yourself about what you “should” or shouldn’t do. Guilt, judgment, and blame whether it is cast onto another or yourself are not progressing us forward. Each one of us has a part to play in the collective unfolding.
Compassion is key.
You have your path in this greater picture.
We all do. You have a special light inside of you, a special way of helping others, a unique perspective and approach that is greatly needed. Learn your medicine, honor it, and trust it. Knowing your path and activating it forward is the true transformation.
Seems to me the most important thing we can do is honor one another (including ourselves) in or revealing, learning, unlearning, understanding, internalizing, processing, growing, and healing. And there is a different path for each one of us to evolve into more love. For some, it looks like posting, sharing, marching, donating, speaking, yet for others, it’s listening, praying, creating, crying, releasing, and communicating. Honor each path forward. And trust all paths are needed.
I’m committed to removing all judgment, shame, blame, hate, and guilt cast onto others (and myself,) and activating and honoring my own true path in greater love. For the greater good. Are you with me?
