During these turbulent times, it can be easy to fall into worry, judgment, shame, and blame and feel as if things are getting worse. But we always get what we look for. If we are anxious and worried, we will ultimately look out into the world and see more pain. But if we catch our fear and ego projections, we can begin to shift our perception into one of more love and unity.
It’s important to control our anxious thoughts. One of my favorite ways to do this is with the power of words. Speaking loving and supportive words can help us own our power and uplift one another. Mantras can help to heal the mind and connect us with the loving energy of the Universe.
I’ve gathered my top go-to mantras from my book Find Your Happy Daily Mantras for self-empowerment and unity consciousness. You can repeat the following phrases to support you in owning your power and connecting with humanity.
MANTRA#1:
WHEN I SPEAK MY TRUTH, IT GIVES OTHERS PERMISSION TO DO THE SAME
You have an important point of view and message to share with others. When you speak your truth, you give others permission to do that same. Part of the healing process is to be able to openly share your story. When you speak your truth, you feel a gentle release, and peace can set in. What have you been wanting to say to but have been afraid of speaking up about? This is an opportunity for you to be honest with yourself and others speak up and speak your truth.

I am comfortable speaking up and sharing how I feel. I am confident in my situation and know that when I share openly and honestly, I am healing myself and helping others. The more I share my true self with others the more loved I will feel. I give others permission to speak up when I speak my truth.
MANTRA #2:
I ACKNOWLEDGE MY DISCOMFORTS
Your discomfort has a message for you. When you are in pain or discomfort, it is not something to ignore or resist. Instead of looking at the discomfort as painful, look at it as purpose. There is a purpose to all discomfort in your life. When you go inward and ask why you are hurting, your inner knowing will reveal the truth. All discomfort in your body, mind, and life is an opportunity to look at what is not working.

I acknowledge my discomforts by sending each one love and light. I release the pain and trust it will be removed from my life. The pain I feel is part of my past and I no longer resonate with it. I can learn from all body aches and discomforts. As I seek the truth, I am revealed as an opportunity for expansion.
MANTRA #3:
I SEE THE LIGHT AND LOVE IN OTHERS
Other people may do things you don’t understand. Everyone has their own opinion, way of doing things, and a clear point of view, so just because others may differ from you does not mean they are wrong. There is a great understanding in the differences and the contrasts of life. Instead of lashing out with anger or trying to get others to see your perspective, simply flood them energetically with love and light. The divine light in you is also in them, as everyone on planet Earth is connected through the human experience. See others as your own family and you will feel more peace.

I stop trying to understand people and instead let them be who they are as they are. I will no longer participate in the drama of the world and refuse to let negative actions pull me in. Instead, I send love and light to others and I see and acknowledge the light within us all.
MANTRA #4:
I RECOGNIZE AND HONOR THE LIGHT INSIDE OF ME
There is a duality inside every person. An ego-based thought process—one of fear, darkness, and negative energy—and a loving heart-based perception of kindness, compassion, and peace. It is impossible to live a life free of one without the other. Instead of judging others or lashing out with anger, look at the anger within yourself. Diminish your negative energy by focusing on love and light with you. Let the love rise to the surface with more attention to kindness. Choose to see the light within you by speaking kindly to yourself and being compassionate to yourself and others.

There is a light so bold, bright, and courageous inside of me, and I am not afraid to shine it. I let myself feel the love within and honor the light that is me. I am an example of what is possible when you choose love over fear, and I stand in my bright light to help others shine bright too.
MANTRA #5:
MY EMOTIONAL PAIN SHOWS ME WHAT NEEDS TO CHANGE
Sadness, depression, and heartache are gentle reminders to probe deeper into your life. Look at what is not working and be open to living your life in new ways. You need not hide your pain, nor do you need to push it away. Feeling hurt is part of living a balanced life. As you grow into new awareness you may feel as if you shouldn’t be hurting or in pain. But this couldn’t further from the truth. True self-awareness comes from embracing all emotions as they come up. Feel what you need to feel and let your emotions show you where you can bee stronger better and more self-aware.

I am hurting but that is part of the process of healing. It is okay to feel these emotions. I choose to dive into this pain, rather than numbing myself or running away. My pain has a message for me and I can learn from this experience. I embrace all of life’s experiences and feel them fully. I am connected to my emotions and I feel them fully. Any area of my life that feels painful is an opportunity for me to go inward. I reflect on my pain and see what needs to be changed.
MANTRA#6:
WHEN I AM FEELING ANGST, I ASK,
“WHAT IS THIS SITUATION TRYING TO TEACH ME?”
Every situation in your life is an opportunity to learn more about yourself. Instead of resisting or looking at the pain as frustration, turn inward and ask what you can learn here. The lessons available to you will help you move through the situation with more grace.

Every situation I am in is an opportunity to learn. I grow into my true self by diving into the lessons. I remove fear as I step forward with confidence and purpose. I retreat to my heart and allow my inner voice to show me the truth of all situations. I am open to learning.
MANTRA #7:
I TURN MY REACTION INTO COMPASSION
It is easy to react to situations, especially when things aren’t going the way you expected. But when we react we block ourselves from receiving guidance and clear direction on how to move forward with grace and ease. The emotional outburst prevents us from feeling peace. The next time you find yourself reacting to a situation, take a moment to stop, take a deep breath in, and turn your fear-based thoughts into more compassion. Simply ask yourself, “How can I see this situation with more love?” Let compassion rule your day by first being compassionate with yourself. It is natural to react to situations, but you can lessen your anger by being aware of your emotional outbursts. Then simply practice balancing your emotions with more love and light.

I choose to see all situations with more compassion. I am responsible for my outcome, and if there is a situation I do not like, I can lessen the frustration by seeing the situation from a new perspective. I let love lead the way as I choose to perceive everything with more kindness. As I send love and light to difficult situations, I can work through them much faster. I no longer react to frustrating circumstances; instead, I choose to be compassionate with myself and others.
MANTRA #8:
THE FIRST STEP TO IMPROVING THE WORLD IS TO IMPROVE MYSELF
You may be focusing a great deal of time and energy on the world’s state of affairs. Perhaps you are giving your attention to what is not going well. When we pay attention to the media it will seem like the world is falling apart, but there is great good in this world and it starts within each of us. Instead of focusing on how hopeless or helpless you feel, choose to see yourself as a powerful change-maker. You do have the power to make a difference by being true to yourself and proactively improving your own life. When you stand in your own light you inspire others to do the same, and this simple act will help to uplift the entire world.

I stop focusing on the negative aspects of this world and instead turn inward to focus on the negative aspects within me. I am gentle and kind to myself as I heal and grow. I choose to see myself with love and kindness, and this seemingly simple act will help to improve the entire world. Because when I shine more light, it helps uplift the world with more positive energy.
MANTRA # 9 WE ARE ALL CONNECTED BY OUR THOUGHTS
You may get frustrated because others don’t see things the way you do. Let go of the need to prove others right. Instead, see the diversity of life as a gift. Everyone is entitled to his or her own beliefs and opinions, including you. But do not mistake your views as a definition of who you are. You are so much more than your own beliefs, so consider a more open-minded approach to life as you move forward.

I am aligned with my inner light and my light is truth. I do not have a need to prove others’ rights. They have opinions and beliefs that help color the contrast of the world. There is no wrong or right. We all belong. Instead of defining myself or judging others by my opinions, I see us all as love and light. We are all connected by our diverse thoughts and ideas.
MANTRA #10
I AM MAKING A BIGGER IMPACT THAN I REALIZE
You’ve spent a lot of time trying to seek others’ approval and get people to appreciate you. This message comes to you because it is time to see your own worth. You are making an incredible difference in the lives of others even if it doesn’t feel that way. Many people have been positively impacted by your actions and look to you for inspiration even if they never tell you. You are needed in this world and a gift to the people around you. Instead of feeling let down because you feel unappreciated, turn your focus inward, and appreciate yourself. Give yourself what you are seeking and you will soon see the impact you make in this world.

I am here for a reason, and I make a difference by just being me. I am making a huge impact in the world by expressing my truth and being honest with myself as I shine more love. I care deeply about those around me, and this love and kindness is reflected outward in the world. I am making an impact by expressing my authentic truth.
