It’s official! The Summer of Joy is here. This summer is dedicated to you. My commitment is to help you live with more purpose, meaning and joy. And today’s brand new video message shares the number one thing you can do to feel better fast.
If you want more energy, less drama and more inner peace, today’s video is for you.
Naturally if we want to start feeling better, we need to reconnect with our true selves and reclaim our power. A good place to start is to be more conscious of the messages we allow to infiltrate our minds. We need to stop giving our power to others. You have the power to shut out judgment, comparison, and negativity. As long as you are looking outward to the media, pop culture, friends’ advice, other people’s views, you can’t look inward. The fix is to reclaim your power and disconnect from all the things outside of yourself draining your energy, frustrating you, or causing you to worry. We do this by learning how to trust ourselves. When we feel more secure in our own beliefs, we operate, not from a place of fear, but grounded in love. Ask yourself, Where are you giving your power away? What is draining your energy? In today’s fractured world, it can be difficult to operate from a place of love, but now more than ever, it is absolutely essential.*
I looked at my own life and saw that fear and worry were keeping me stuck. I was also holding on to anger and frustration. I was giving a lot of focus to things that were draining me. I would think about the past, obsess about the future, worry about uncertain outcomes.
I knew if I wanted to feel better I would have to eliminate distractions and things draining my energy. First, I started by looking at my information consumption and mindless screen time. I unfollowed social media accounts that didn’t make me feel joy. I started following more positive news sites. So in edition to today’s empowering video, here is a list of positive news sources on the web.
Joy Jaunt: Go on a Media Detox
Put yourself on your own media detox. Can you limit your news intake, start to question the source, lean into love instead of fear? Also, go to your social media accounts and only follow people who uplift you and make you feel inspired and connected to love. Do the same with your emails. Unsubscribe from accounts that don’t uplift you and watch how your joy increases in direct proportion to your media decrease.
Here is a list of positive news sites to replace the negative ones with:
Founded by a former television producer, Good News Network (GNN) says its mission is to provide readers with a “daily dose of news to enthuse.”
Good news and positive stories are served up daily at Gimundo.
Founded in 2014 by actor and technology investor, Ashton Kutcher, A Plus covers the news critically, from all angles, but with hope.
A positive place to connect and grow your spirituality.
A team of citizen journalists report on positive, but compelling, stories from around the world at Happy News.

I’d love to hear from you. After watching the video which tip resonates most deeply with you — and why? How can you turn that insight into action now? Dive into the comments and let me know.
P.S. Today’s information is truly uplifting. Please forward this email to people you love and say, “Let’s uplift ourselves and come together — here’s how!”

I love the idea of a good news buddy. I so plan on initiating that into my life along with more positive thinking and not always worrying about everything. I know that one is going to be one I am really going to have to work at to make that shift in my thoughts. Will definitely check out the sights you have listed too. Thank you so much!
I’m in Australia so we’re about to go into winter but I’m certainly going to find me a Good News Buddy to share good news with!
